My weakness? Dior. Lip. Glow. Ever since Annie introduced me to the soft, pout-plumping formula, I have been absolutely hooked. It\u2019s the ideal balance of lipstick and lipgloss \u2013\u00a0not too dry, not too moist and leaves the most delicate trace of color. The only problem is, it\u2019s not exactly clean. <\/span><\/p>\n

I know, beauty routines are never perfect. 100% nontoxic is tough to achieve, especially if you wear makeup. But when it comes to something you\u2019re applying to your lips all day long, it\u2019s wise to go organic. Just think about it \u2013\u00a0what\u2019s on your lips normally ends up in your stomach. Would you want to eat regular lipstick? I don\u2019t think so. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since I\u2019m a big believer in having your cake and eating it too, I set out on a mission to find the healthy DLG. (I know that metaphor didn\u2019t exactly work there, but let\u2019s just go with it). I can\u2019t lie. It wasn\u2019t easy. I spent weeks scouring the shelves of clean beauty havens in NYC. Most things I tried just didn\u2019t cut it. They were either too dry or too creamy, two characteristics that just won\u2019t do for this kind of lip essential. <\/span><\/p>\n

I was about to give up my search, until I found Henne Organics while browsing a CAP Beauty in the West Village<\/a>. CAP is one of my favorite beauty stops. They always have the latest and greatest in gross-free beauty, plus the vibe is just so good. In other words: I should have known they\u2019d have what I was looking for. <\/span><\/p>\n

So, back to Henne. Here\u2019s what\u2019s up in a nutshell\u2026 It\u2019s an American-made, female-run brand inspired by the minimalism of Scandinavia. The line of lip tints comes in 4 colors (and they are all conveniently sold online at Amazon right here<\/a>): Intrigue (dark red), Bare (nude), Azalea (pink) and Coral (self-explanatory, no?). I am partial to the Coral, since it most closely resembles the orangey-pink of my beloved DLG. \u00a0<\/span>It\u2019s not an <\/span>exact <\/span><\/i>copy, of course, but it sure does make me feel a little less bad when I go to apply it 10+ times a day.
