Gucci Westman is the coolest. There is just no other way to put it. I had the pleasure of meeting the ultra-famous makeup artist for coffee earlier this week to discuss everything from her love of Japanese brand SK-II<\/a> to her passion for wallpaper and\u00a0redecorating her London pad. The incredibly talented beauty expert is a fixture backstage at Fashion Week<\/a> and has left her mark on many a high-end editorial. She also rolls with an insane A-list crew\u2014we\u2019re talking Jennifer Aniston, Elle MacPherson and Drew Barrymore\u2014and is a mom to two children.<\/p>\n

Yep, she has it all, which is why I couldn\u2019t wait to pick her brain. She\u2019s incredibly knowledgeable about the beauty industry, has killer skin, is totally fit and rocks the most amazing jet-black optical\u00a0frames. Ok so take notes, girls.\u00a0 This is what I learned from Gucci Westman.<\/p>\n

Her secret to perfect skin:<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Gucci is a huge advocate of the SK-II Essence<\/a>. She likes to spray it morning and night, with a spray or two of the Mid Day Essence in the afternoon for a little boost. Need a refresher about the value of an essence<\/a> in a skincare routine? It\u2019s essentially a hydrating liquid that stimulates the natural renewal process of the skin\u2019s outer layer.<\/p>\n

What she carries inside her bag on a daily basis: <\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Gucci\u2019s bag is full of essentials all of us should have.\u00a0Juice Press Black Juice<\/a>, Tom Ford reading glasses, Dior Lip Plumper<\/a>,\u00a0Tata Harper Irritability<\/a>\u00a0Treatment, small individual sizes of almond butter and the SK-II Mid-Day Essence<\/a>\u00a0keep her going even on her busiest days.<\/p>\n

How she preps models and actresses before a show or big event:<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Because the girls are often a little nervous or overwhelmed, she likes to help them cool down with an SK-II Facial Treatment Mask: \u201c[This gives] them some time to recompress and relax.\u201d The sheet mask<\/a> offers a boost of hydration and allows them to take a moment to breathe.<\/p>\n

How to fix problematic skin on the spot:<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

She likes to use a dynamic duo solution: \u201c[I] Use the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask<\/a>\u00a0for 20 minutes and, pat off the excess with a tissue. Then Liberally spray the SK-II Mid-day Essence. Lastly, sit for another 20-40 minutes under her at-home LED Light Illumask.\u201d She uses this routine to prep her own skin before big events like, ahem, the Met Ball.<\/p>\n

On how to brighten dark and dull dark circles under the eyes:<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Gucci explained that simple is better when fixing dark spots on the skin: \u201cMix a little highlighter into your eye cream to create a potion.\u201d This blend will give you coverage, as well as hydration.<\/p>\n

Beauty trend she\u2019s loving at the moment: <\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI am really into clumpy lashes at the moment.\u201d Um, YES. Let\u2019s bring this back, girls. The 60\u2019s mod look is just oh-so-chic.<\/p>\n

After getting these unbelievable tips for getting dewy skin, I had to ask her more about the products \u2013 both makeup and skincare \u2013 that she swears by.<\/p>\n
