In reply to Emily. Estelle & Child is great, Face Stockholm makes amazing makeup, and a lot of the Scandinavians brands are pretty great compared to, well, any country. Just don´t bother with Ole Henriksen, which is overpriced, overhyped basic skin care. :D

While I am a fan of both “hygge” and some of these products, I have to say that here in Norway, the majority of women are into “hygge”, but care more about having a “practical” style (Short hair, brown mascara 😀 ), and at most bother with sun screen when hiking. 😀 Those of us who are a bit more into this, have a tendency to yearn for brands we cannot even buy or get shipped to Norway, most of my girlfriends are now dedicated to the Korean skin care regimen. 😀

I am one of the sterotypical scandinavians with local brands on my shelfs, organic moisturizer produced in Norway, even, but we do actually message each other in excitment when brands like Pixi becomes available here.

Btw, the Sachahuan
products strips color from my hair, just a heads up if you´ve got
dyed hair. My hair products are italian, I think- Davines!

But us scandinavians do like hygge, and we are often able to afford good products- just needed to clearify that we are in general not minimalistic people who stick to nordic brands- when Sephora started shipping to Norway, we basically went nuts. 😀

Love this post so much! Hygge is such an awesome concept and I love how well these lines represent it. I will definitely have to check out the Hygge candles. Also, I had never heard of Estelle & Thild before – definitely sounds amazing, with such great ingredients!

Hi Annie,
Loved this post. Some of the products you mentioned are also on my favorites list. Especially, Sjal, Byredo and Verso are staples in my routine. I also hear great things about the Rudolph face scrub. In our hectic lifestyles it is nice to be able to rely on such beautiful “calming” products!
